Suture/Endo-Mechanical Management Program:

Burrows’ Suture/Endo-Mechanical Program will manage and control all inventory investments for your wound closure products. Historically, wound closure products are in the top two or three product categories, as measured in dollars purchased, from a full-line medical/surgical distributor. Because of the large number of SKUs, multiple clinical areas and multiple users utilizing wound closure products it is not unusual for hospitals to have an unacceptable 3-5 inventory turns before subscribing to Burrows’ Suture/Endo-Mechanical Program.

Stages of Burrows’ Suture/Endo-Mechanical Program are;

Stage One: Identify current inventory investment by performing a comprehensive
physical inventory. For example, a few of the departments are:

  1. Operating Room
  2. Cath Lab
  3. Emergency Department
  4. Labor and Delivery
  5. Ambulatory Surgery
  6. Special Procedures

Stage Two: Furnish an in-depth report depicting the following:

  1. Total on-hand inventory investment
  2. Determine actual inventory turn rate
  3. Identify product usage figures
  4. Determine inventory results by department
  5. Identify obsolete or slow moving items
  6. PAR levels will be recommended

Stage Three: Assign start date to commence Burrows’ Suture/Endo-Mechanical
Program.

  1. Determine what day(s) inventory function to be performed by assigned representative for all departments
  2. Assign the day(s) products are to be replenished by assigned representative for all departments
  3. Establish a protocol for future product changes

Stage Four: Provide timely reports to measure Program’s progress

  1. Slow moving items are assigned an equitable PAR level
  2. Fast moving items are turning a minimum of 18 times per year
  3. Obsolete items are identified and removed
  4. Consolidation and Standardization with clinicians
  5. On-hand inventory values are always available

By assigning Burrows the responsibility to totally control and streamline your wound closure product requirements you are receiving a resource that is devoted 100% to this important high-dollar product category.
